This building has housed a space for yoga for over 23 years. Started by Gina Wasserlein in a small room down the hall it eventually grew to over 1500 square feet of peaceful practice space. What began as Downtown Yoga then transformed into H’OM Wellness Centre and is now Ganpati Om downtown as of May 2019.
Our main goal is to provide a safe, accessible yoga practice space for the people who work and live in the core of our wonderful city of Windsor. We are striving to create a community based, grass roots, simple business structure so that we can achieve this in the easiest way possible.
Christopher and I plan to keep costs down by using a smaller office space, teaching more classes ourselves and doing as much of day to day work as we can. We will donate our time for all of the extras and pay ourselves a simple wage for the classes we teach.
We aim to be as transparent as possible with our financial structure and our only true costs will be for rent, insurance and class costs for the 9 classes a week that will be provided. Five years in we are almost at the point where what is coming in equals what is going out and that is amazing to us post covid.
We have always believed that if we are open and honest with you, our students, we can and will succeed with our goal. Yoga is needed in our city, especially downtown. Your opinions matter and we encourage all of you to feel free to approach us with any of your concerns at any time. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope to see you all on your mats whenever your schedule allows. With much love and gratitude. Namaste.
