our mission

This building has housed a space for yoga for the last 17 years. Started by Gina Wasserlein in a small room it eventually grew to it’s present size of over 1500 square feet. What began as Downtown Yoga then transformed into H’OM Wellness Centre and has now become Ganpati Om downtown at the beginning of May, 2019.

Our main goal is to provide a safe, accessible yoga practice space for the people who work and live in the core of our wonderful city of Windsor. We are striving to create a community based, grass roots, simple business structure so that we can achieve this in the easiest way possible.

Christopher and I plan to keep costs down by using a smaller office space, teaching more classes ourselves and doing as much of day to day work as we can. We will donate our time for all of the extras and pay ourselves a simple wage for the classes we teach.

We aim to be as transparent as possible with our financial structure and our only true costs will be for rent, insurance and class costs for the 16 classes a week that will be provided on our schedule. We have a year lease and hope that in that time the business can be turned around and will at least be self-sustaining at that point.

We believe that if we are open and honest with you, our students, we can and will succeed with this goal. Your opinions matter and we encourage all of you to feel free to approach us with any of your concerns regarding the space at any time. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope to see you all on your mats whenever your schedule allows. With much love and gratitude. Namaste.
